Clematis or any vining plant will enjoy climbing these sturdy towers. Tomatoes, beans, cucumbers, flowering vines, etc.
Cut, bent and welded by hand from locally purchased 5/16″ A36 mild-steel. Tapered from 18″ wide at the bottom to 28″ wide at the top, tower structure has a flat back for installation against walls or fences and features horizontal half-circles to bring the element of depth. Horizontals are vertically spaced 12″ apart for good airflow and easy hand/tool access when pruning or harvesting.
A healthy vine on this tower will get TOP HEAVY. For your safety these towers include welded steel tabs intended to accommodate anchoring the tower to a wall or fence.
7′ Tower is 84″ tall overall, but legs are designed to be driven as far as 12″ into the ground for a solid anchor – leaving 72″ (6′) above ground.
