Very popular item. These supports are tall – 40″ tall! Approx. 18″ wide.
Unique design includes angled notches to give stems a spot to nestle-in when the breeze blows. The extra height means the support can be driven as far as 12″ into the soil providing great stability and still have 28″ above ground for tall plants. Set the height where it is needed and adjust as plants grow! Great for keeping walkways and paths open.
Use as a peony support early in the season while flowering. When peonies are done flowering, support is no longer necessary. Remove supports to improve airflow and prevent leaf disease. Move the support to growing plants that need support like hydrangeas, Russian sage, or any top-heavy plant you’d like to contain.
Cut and bent by hand from locally purchased 5/16″ mild-steel round bar. Bare steel will quickly develop a beautiful rusty patina. Intentionally overbuilt, these products will continue to serve your needs for many years.
